File extension torrent information

File extension TORRENT files have instructions for BitTorrent and hashed checksum that verifies if the client is downloading the correct file, the filename of the file and the files full size. TORRENT files are just small files that contain textual data on the file itself. Downloading TORRENT files takes seconds and the files are hosted on standard web servers and may even be passed via email. In a computer with a BitTorrent-compatible client installed launching the TORRENT file starts a process to contact the tracker illustrated in the TORRENT file.
File extension TORRENT files can be used in downloading files from BitTorrent P2P network. This process however requires a BitTorrent-compatible client installed in the computer. Some of the clients include BitTorrent the original client, ABC open source, bittornado, G3 torrent and azureus open source. TORRENT files are downloaded from third parties already with the file in their system but not from the original distributor. TORRENT files are involved in the sharing of files across the internet. The files do not contain actual data to be downloaded but general text information.
